Vets News 2nd January 2025

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year for 2025!

This first blog for the new year contains information about changes made to some of the pages on our website, and introduces a new method of delivering the blog messages to our members. You will see the emails about new blog updates will now be headed by "CLVETS Web Admin". Hopefully more members will visit the clvets website and find the information you need.

Some enhancements in pages under the Vets Competitions Menu include:

• Results Tables - these now show all Competitions, including Medals and Stableford events from 2021. The two tables will direct you to a standard page which if using a desktop, you can hover over the Captain's Report to show the report, and if photos are taken, then hovering over the Winner's names will show the photos. The Report and photos are shown as default on a mobile device.

• Masters Eligibility - this is an new page where you can enter a player’s name (or part of a name) and select a year (2025 or 2026) to view which players are eligible for the Masters or the Heath Bowl competitions for 2025 or 2026. On a desktop the Masters Eligibility page is found under the Vets Competitions Menu, on a mobile you click the 3 hamburger lines on top right, then click the down arrow on Vets Competitions, where you will find Masters Eligibility. There is a Start Over button to reset the search. There is also a dropdown for the Masters or the Heath Bowl, and by selecting a Year will display ALL players eligible for each competition for that year. As we move into 2025 and start to play competitions, the list for 2026 will begin to expand.

• Trophy Winners - includes a dropdown list to select a Trophy type which displays past winners, with second and third places also shown (and also Gold, Silver and Bronze Winners for monthly Medals and Stableford competitions).

• Search Winners - enter a name or part of a name to show which trophies or competitions the player has won, including dates.

• Trophies - includes a dropdown list where all trophies can be selected to display further information about the trophy.
