🏌️ VETS CAPTAIN'S AWAYDAY 2026

A Perfect Day at Farleigh GC! ☀️

On Tuesday, 22nd September, the Vets Captain led an impressive turnout of 38 players to Farleigh Golf Club for our highly anticipated annual Awayday competition! 🚗 What a fantastic show of support! 👏

The Format: 🏆

The day featured an exciting Team Stableford competition with a twist - best 2 scores from 4 on each hole! 🎯 We also had the popular side competitions: Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive prizes 🎪, plus individual honours for the best individual score and the best individual not in a winning team. Something for everyone! 💪

Glorious Conditions: ☀️

The weather was absolutely perfect—blue skies, sunshine, and ideal golfing conditions! 🌞 Yet despite the favourable elements, some of the scoring made it appear that Farleigh had produced a stern test. Clearly, the course lived up to its reputation as a challenging layout! ⛳

Congratulations to All Winners! 🎉

Well done to everyone who claimed a prize across all the competitions—you've earned your bragging rights! 🏆 A special atmosphere and competitive spirit defined the day, even without official photos to commemorate the victors. The Results and Captains Report from the day are now on the Vets Website ready to view. The memories will stay with us! 💚

Looking Forward: 🔜

These annual Awaydays are what bind our Vets community together—great golf, friendly competition, and wonderful camaraderie away from home. Here's to many more! ⛳✨
