🌹 THE MEEHAN ROSE BOWL COMPETITION – 6TH OCTOBER 2026

A Unique Format That Divides Opinion! 🏌️

The Meehan Rose Bowl competition took place this week—and it's definitely a "marmite" competition that players either love or find challenging! 😄 It's one of those fixtures that sparks plenty of debate in the clubhouse.

The Format: 🤝

This competition is played as 4-ball better-ball, with players competing as teams rather than individuals. 👥 It's a format that rewards teamwork and partnership—but with a twist!

The Handicap Twist: 📊

Here's where it gets interesting: teams can face handicap adjustments if they score over 42 points AND one player contributes to 9 or more holes. 🎯 Even if a player picks up their ball after realizing they can't beat their partner's score on a hole, it still counts towards their hole contribution! That's the unique challenge of this format. 💭
