Vets News 29th August 2024

This week the Vets were involved in a number of competitions and matches - on Tuesday we played a Monthly Medal and the Super Seniors played a league match at home to Langley Park, then on Thursday the Vets League team played a match against West Kent at home.

Details below:

September Medal 27th August

The Medal competition Results, Captain's Report and Winner's photo showing all 3 divisional winners are now on the website under the 2024 Medals Results page.

The Winner's photo is also on the Home and 2024 Photo Gallery pages.

Super Seniors League Match 27th August

The SS League team played a match against Langley Park at home. The Results and Team Sheet are now available on the SS Match Results 2024 page. Team Captain Richard Watson has also provided the following note from the match:

On Tuesday 27th we played our last SS game of the year at home against Langley.

The day was perfect for golf, the course was in great condition and the result as you can see was a well earned draw.

I’m not sure where we finished in the league but in its first year of the reserve league we actually won it!!

I’m most impressed with the high standard of golf that has been played within the SS league, the quality of the golf courses, and the hospitality and friendly fellow golfers we play.

Next year we have West Kent returning to our league which adds more quality.

With that in mind I’m now looking for more Super Seniors to play, it costs nothing but your time and fuel, gents until next season onwards and upwards.

Regards

Richard
