Vets Captain's Charity Dinner.

In the evening of Tuesday 13th August, the Vets Captain hosted a Charity evening dinner with entertainment. Vets Captain Richard has provided the following note on the evening:

Vets Captain’s Charity Day Dinner with music by Idle Hands

The Annual Vets Captain’s Charity Dinner was held on Tuesday 13th August in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

It was a great evening and I can’t thank all those who attended enough for their generosity and support for my charity.

The delicious 3 course dinner was followed by live music by Idle Hands. The five- strong group featured our own Geoff Webb (vocalist and Lead Guitar) and Mike Austin (keyboard). They were fantastic.

There were 3 items auctioned under the expert guidance of our Club Captain, Martin Purser who helped raise £300 from willing bidders. Thank you Metin, Chris and Malcolm and congratulations for putting in the winning bids for the auction items.

There was also a raffle which raised another £220.

My thanks to Matt and his team in the Kitchen for putting on such a great meal for us.

I would also like to thanks Amy and her team for their wonderful service at the table and behind the bar.

The evening concluded with a couple of encores from the band to rousing applause from the remaining audience.

A great night and thanks again for everyone’s support and generosity.
