Vets League Match Result - Away to Langley Park

The Vets League Team Captain Doug Mason has provided a brief report:

"The League team travelled to Langley Park today for the first of this years League matches.

Langley, last years winners, were beaten 5-1 away at West Kent in the their first game this year so we were hopeful of a good result to get us started this year.

Sadly, in lovely weather, this did not materialise and we were soundly beaten 5-1 which , coincidentally, was the same result as last year.

Well done to Martyn Heath and Roger Farrington who won our sole point with the last putt of their game to avoid the “whitewash”.

Next match is at home on 25th May against Royal Blackheath with a 1.30pm start.
