11th August 2023

The Vets played a Friendly match at home against Nizels on 8th August 2023. The Results, Team Sheet and Player Stats are available to view on the website via the links provided.

The Captain provided a brief report as follows:

We played Nizels yesterday in thoroughly miserable conditions with persistent rain throughout the morning. Good bunch of guys though and there was plenty of chat and banter during the lunch. We also had the pleasure of Shay Harley entertaining us with his comedy act after the lunch.

Although we lost 4 – 2 the matches were very close and our last 2 pairs only lost 1 Down despite giving an extortionate amount of shots like most of our matches this year. Nizels received a total of 99 shots compared to our 51.
