Vets Captain's Weekly Update 30th June

Fellow Vets

Firstly I should mention we have another two new Vets members; Metin Oksuz and Adam Simons. Please make them feel welcome as you usually do!

My competition report for Tuesday's July medal has been uploaded to the website here -> https://martynheath.wixsite.com/vets/2022-medals

Congratulations to Bernie Deacon and the Super Seniors team who whitewashed West Kent GC 5 - 0 here at Cherry Lodge on Monday and remain top of their group table.

We have 3 Vets friendly matches coming up shortly in quick succession, Parkwood (AWAY) on Wed 13th July, West Malling (AWAY) on Mon 18th July and Dulwich and Sydenham (AWAY) on Thu 21st July. We are still short of sufficient player numbers for the Parkwood match in particular so please do add your name to the online availability list if you are able to play. The Carter Cup stableford is slated for next Tuesday 5th July with 65 entered at the time of writing, so still room here for your entry.

The following week is the Vets big one, our only Club board competition; The Veterans Trophy on Tuesday 12th July. The winner has the opportunity to represent the club in the Kent Veterans Singles Championship. 77 entries to date, so 15 spaces still available.

Still room for more too at the annual away day at Chelsfield Lakes GC on Fri 22nd July, details on the Vets notice board and on the website here where you can book your place too -> https://martynheath.wixsite.com/vets/awayday

See you in the club house soon.

Kind Regards

Keith
