🎉 The CLGC Captain's Prize ⛳

Tuesday 21 April 2026

Despite freezing temperatures and a blustery day on the course 🥶💨, 90 Vets rose to the occasion in style for one of the most prestigious competitions in the calendar!

The evening rounded off perfectly with a wonderful dinner 🍽️, where our new Club Captain Douglas Mason took centre stage to award his prize to a very worthy winner — checkout the website for the full results! 🏆

A special mention for a remarkable stat: not a single 2 was recorded all day — believed to be a first in living memory! 😮⛳ and 💰 no 2's on the day means the entire two's pot goes straight to the Captain's Charity — every cloud! ⛳🎗️

🎱 Congratulations to the Clubhouse Ball Draw winners too — details in the Captains Report.

📋 Qualifying reminder: The winner is Masters-bound for 2027 🏅, with runners-up and third place heading to the 2027 Heath Bowl (unless already Masters-qualified).

A massive thank you to everyone who braved the cold, came back for dinner, and helped give our new Captain such a warm welcome! 🤝🎊

📸 The winner's photo is now live in the Gallery — and the Trophy and Search Winners pages have had a refresh too! Go take a look! 👀⛳
