⛳ TEXAS SCRAMBLE PAIRS STROKEPLAY - 19th May 2026
(Taken from the Captain's Report) - Rain and strong winds greeted the 86 Vets who turned out for the ever-popular Pairs Texas Scramble Strokeplay format, played from the 61 tees. 🌧️💨 Despite some heavy downpours making conditions underfoot challenging, the course remained in excellent condition throughout.
The scoring was outstanding, with the top four places separated by the narrowest of margins—a testament to the competitive spirit on display! 🏌️
The winning pair carded an impressive nett 66 to claim first place. 🥇 The runners-up posted a superb nett 67 🥈, while third place went to a pair with nett 68 on countback. 🥉 Fourth place also scored nett 68 in what was an exceptionally tight finish.
The winning pair earns automatic qualification for next year's Masters, while the runners-up and third-place finishers secure spots in the Heath Bowl—unless they qualify for the Masters through other means. 🏆
The Ball Draw proved popular as always, with four lucky winners taking home prizes. 🎯
The Captain's Report, Results and Winner's Photo are now available to view on the website on the Results page, with the Winner's Photo also proudly displayed in the Gallery. 📸🏌️
The Captain's presentation finished with A big thank you to all the members who stayed in the clubhouse after the competition to celebrate with today's winners. 👏
and "See you all at the club again soon!" ⛳
