SUPER SENIORS GET A RESULT IN THE GRAND FINAL AT FAVERSHAM GC

Having won our league, we were invited to take part in the Grand Final at Faversham Golf Club competing against the winners of the other six Leagues, Wrotham Heath, Weald of Kent, Sene Valley, Gillingham, Broome Park and Shooters Hill.

The competition format was 4BBB Stableford with 5 pairs in each team taking part. Each pair's Better ball score added together for their team total. I am pleased to tell you that we finished in third place with a commendable combined score of 200 points. In 2nd place with 209 points were Wrotham Heath and in 1st place Sene Valley with an incredible 221 points.

The Grand Final at Faversham GC featured (L-R): Brian Avery, Graham Savage, Jamie Humphrey, Martin Evans, Dennis Shipp, Terry Morris, Peter White, Roger Daliday, Bernie Deacon (Captain), Richard Jewitt and Alan Jerome.

Last year Royal Blackheath represented our League in the Grand Final and came last so well done Team Cherry Lodge.

Looking forward to next season and if any of you have now reached the ripe old age of 70 and would like to join us please let me know.
