SS Result at Chislehurst

Unfortunately I have to report that Cherry Lodge SS Team lost their first match of the Season 3.5 to 1.5 at Chislehurst yesterday.

It wasn't all bad news though because under the new scoring system this means we have 1.5 points from an away match. Last year in the same fixture we lost 4-1 and got naff all.

I must congratulate Jamie Humphrey and Mike Smith for a magnificent win having been 2 down at the turn. I should also mention Roger Daliday and Martin Evans for achieving a half having also been 2 down.

Chislehurst is always a difficult place to go and we always seem to be giving away more than twice as many shots as we receive making it extremely difficult for our lower handicappers.

Our hosts made us very welcome and apart from a bit of a downpour at the end of the round a good day was had by one and all.

A special thanks to Malcolm Hurst for coming along to support, much appreciated.

Our next match is at home to Royal Blackheath on Monday 22nd May.

I will be putting the Sign up Sheet for this match up this weekend for those that are unable to use a computer to sign up.
