🛡️ RNLI SHIELD – 9TH JUNE 2026 Charity & Competition Combined! 💙

The RNLI Shield is a cherished tradition that's been played for many years at our club. 🏌️ Each year, we harness this wonderful competition to raise funds for the RNLI through our raffle—and this year was no exception! 🎁

A representative from the Orpington branch of the RNLI attended to receive a magnificent cheque and present the shield. 🏆 The fantastic total raised was a testament to the generosity of our membership! 💚

Special thanks to all our Vets members who brought in prizes and purchased raffle tickets. Your support and effort made this a truly wonderful day for charity! 🤝

The Competition: ⛳

Play was interrupted a couple of times by very heavy showers 🌧️, but nothing could dampen the competitive spirit! In fact, the pace of play improved noticeably, and we saw some excellent scoring throughout the day.

A total of 64 Vets took part in what turned out to be a fantastic competition. 💪

Congratulations to the Prize Winners: 🎉

🥇 First place was claimed with an outstanding 40 points off 18 handicap!

🥈 Second place finished with 38 points off 15 handicap.

🥉 Third place carded 34 points off 16 handicap.

Fourth place also scored 34 points off 12 handicap.

The winner qualifies for next year's Masters 🏅, while the Runner-Up and 3rd Place finishers secure spots in the Heath Bowl 🏆—unless they already qualify for the Masters.

Bonus Prize: 💫

One exceptional player was the only competitor to score two 2s during the competition (at holes 6 and 8)—an impressive feat that earned them an additional prize! ⛳✨
