⛳ VETS FRIENDLY AWAY AT PARK WOOD – 8TH JULY 2026 - Battle in the Heat! 🌞

Another match played in challenging heatwave conditions 🥵, as we travelled to Park Wood on a scorching day. The heat took its toll on the course—while the greens held up well, the fairways had turned a crispy brown 🟤, and preferred lies were generously in place to give players a fighting chance to find decent grass for their ball!

It was a tough day, made tougher by the fact that we came up against a superior side on the day. A comprehensive 5-1 defeat is disappointing, but it's not sour grapes—Park Wood's team simply outplayed us across the board. 💪 That's competitive match play! ⛳

The Silver Lining: ☀️

The match was followed by an excellent lunch 🍽️, and as always, there was wonderful friendly banter between both sets of players. That's what these fixtures are all about! 🤝
