December Stableford 30th November

Well done to the Winners - Jamie Humphrey (Gold), Duncan Lipscombe (Silver) and Toby Frampton (Bronze).

Full Report in the Medals Page.

There were very close 2nd and 3rd places in the Gold Division, which were only separated after the back 9, back 6, back 3, and back 1 holes were exhausted - in this case we had to revert to the hole indexes in order - so as to check scores on the most difficult index down to the easiest index. Luckily the two players were separated by the most difficult hole (Hole 4 - index 1), so we did not have to check further.

A couple of points to remind you all:

• We should always keep in mind health and safety of our fellow golfers on the course, and if a ball is hit out of sight or offline, we should always warn players ahead by calling a “fore” so they may take some shelter from wayward shots. The group I was playing in had a near miss from another player’s shot and no shout was made to warn us.

• Also, now we have greens that are a pleasure to play on please remember to repair any pitch marks found on the greens.

Play well - and stay safe!
