Vets Friendly Away at The Darenth – 13th AugustĀ šŸŒž

Our Friendly team travelled to The Darenth on Thursday, where they enjoyed reconnecting with old colleagues and friends from the former Broke Hill GC. šŸ¤ A lovely moment of nostalgia on the course!

Match Secretary Malcolm Hurst's Report:Ā šŸ’

Conditions were absolutely brutal—blistering heat with the course burnt everywhere, requiring pick and place on the fairways. šŸ”„ While that's understandable, the real frustration came from the greens, which were in poor condition with GUR (Ground Under Repair) marking actually on the putting surfaces! 😤 This forced ball movements to find clear lines to the hole and significantly slowed play, leaving our team out in the intense heat considerably longer than ideal.

On the bright side, golf was followed by a lovely lunch and warm, friendly banter between the players. šŸ½ļø That's the spirit that makes these fixtures special! šŸ‘

The Results and Team SheetĀ are on the website šŸ“‹, with updated Player StatsĀ now ready to explore in a brand new format! šŸ“ˆāœØ
