ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS

Fellow Vets

IMPORTANT: VETS SECTION ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS DUE

I would like to remind you all that your annual Vets subscription is now due. The fee is £10, which includes a £2 contribution towards my nominated charity Prostate Cancer UK. (N.B. anyone who is 80 years old or older gets their membership subscription fee automatically waived.)

You MUST ensure you have paid your subs PRIOR to entry in any further Vets competitions please. If you don’t then you are ineligible to participate and will be disqualified if you do. I really don’t want that to happen to anybody!

Your subs should be paid directly into the Vets bank account please – details are already elsewhere on the website but I have quoted them hereunder on this occasion for your convenience. Once you make a payment online the details of the Vets bank account usually remain on your bank’s website payments page in case of future need. Please ensure your name is quoted with the payment. (Please also note this is a different bank account to the one used to pay for your Cherry Lodge GC annual membership fee!)

Bank Account Name: Cherry Lodge Golf Club Veterans Committee (can be shortened to Cherry Lodge GC Vets or similar if need be.)

Sort Code: 20-14-33

Account #: 20533742

Reference: Your name

Many thanks – see you in the club house soon.

Kind regards

Keith

Good morning Capt Keith

Just paid my subscription. As you are reintroducing the ball sweep after a comp .To encourage people to stay perhaps we could start players off the 9th as well hopefully making the time taken to finalise the comp shorter.

Just a thought.

Hi Micky. Thanks for paying your subs promptly and for your comment too. You make a valid point proposing a two tee start. Whilst this would go some way towards achieving an earlier overall finishing time, unfortunately we are restricted to the tee times stated in the Club Rules and mirrored in the Vets own Rules (at s. 10.2 & s. 2 respectively). On Tuesdays these close the first tee for our exclusive use from 08:00am to 11:15am and the ninth tee from 09:45am until 1:00pm. Similar restrictions are in place for the Ladies on Wednesdays. Having a two tee start, as you are aware, effectively closes the entire course for a time and would prevent other members or …
